Warwickshire Wildlife Trust is the leading local independent conservation organisation in Warwickshire. You can find more out about school visits to nature reserves in Warwickshire, and to access their education resources.

Country parks

Find out about country parks and greenways in Warwickshire, as well as country park activities and events. There is also information available for education providers on visiting Ryton Pools or Kingsbury water park with your pupils.

Institute for Outdoor Learning

The Institute for Outdoor Learning is the professional body for individuals and organisations using activities and experiences in the outdoors for learning, increased health and wellbeing and environmental awareness. We advance professional standards, research and guidance, and are driven by a vision of Outdoor Learning as a highly valued form of development, education and employment in UK society.

Field Studies Council

The Field Studies Council can provide courses, trips and experiences to children of all ages. There are also free teaching resources for a variety of ages and topics, and free to watch webinars.

Outdoor Education Advisers' Panel (OEAP)

The Outdoor Education Advisers’ Panel (OEAP) provides guidance, activities, training and support for outdoor learning and educational visits. The OEAP is the lead body for guidance, advice and training related to outdoor learning and educational visits in England and Wales.

This website has a variety of providers you can search through, as well as transport options and general ideas to help plan a trip out. You can also search through workshop providers who will come to your education setting and provide interactive group sessions.

Learning through Landscapes are a leading UK based charity dedicated to enhancing outdoor learning and play for children. They offer staff training, site visits and resources to help deliver outdoor learning.

Learning Away

Learning Away offer proven advice on how to organise brilliant residentials for children and young people. Free resources are available to help support those with special needs, develop lower cost models for trips, and integrate trips into the curriculum.

Heritage and Culture Warwickshire - Education

Workshops and classes are provided by experienced tutors at St John’s Museum in Warwick, as well as a loan box service where schools can temporarily house items from the museum’s collection. Workshops can also be delivered on school site by teaching staff from the museum, using the enquiry form.

CPRE - the countryside charity Warwickshire

Canal & River Trust

The Canal and River Trust look after 2000 miles of waterway. 'Explorers' is the Trust's education programme aimed at children aged five to 11. They inspire children's learning by connecting them to canals and rivers.
